Stroll through Main Street Libertyville for turn-of-the-century buildings and shop in a picture-perfect downtown during the first Friday of each month for First Fridays on MainStreet. Take a break by the lake at Leopold Point nature observation area after exploring Independence Grove Forest Preserve and enjoy their outdoor beer garden from early spring to summer. Take in talent and comedy up-close at the Improv Playhouse or cultural art exhibits and programs at Adler Arts Center.

Feeling hungry? Your taste buds will be more than satisified with more than 85 restaurants, cafes and pubs, and tasteful dishes the entire family will enjoy. Stop by Lake County's oldest brewpub, Mickey Finn's for one of their craft brews on tap.
