The Village of Grayslake, established in 1895, is located in central Lake County, approximately forty miles north of Chicago and fourteen miles west of Lake Michigan. Grays Lake, a 78 acre recreational lake, is located within the Village. This is one of Lake County's oldest communities and features the Grayslake Heritage Center - a museum showcasing the history of the area. The Village offers numerous family-friendly events, including the annual Lake County Fair and the country's largest evening farmers market.
