Located in Prairie Crossing’s Station Square, the farm store features organically grown vegetables from their farm as well as fruit, grains, flours, meats, sauces, soups, and seasonal surprises, all grown or made within 300 miles of the store. Currently featuring 32 farms and food entrepreneurs, they accept WIC and have applied to receive SNAP benefits as well.
They are accessible by train, bus, car, bike and foot.
Liberty Prairie (formerly Liberty Prairie Foundation) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Grayslake, Illinois.
Located midway between Chicago and Milwaukee, their work focuses on sustainable agriculture and environmental stewardship at the urban edge.

Community Programs:
The creative, hands-on, reflective opportunities offer time for learning, connection, and growth. From bookbinding and storytelling, natural dye and pigment exploration, and gardening and food preservation, these programs inspire and delight.
Rentals:
Liberty Prairie has several spaces that could host your group. Day-use fees contribute to the Holistic Land Plan and help underwrite the costs of their Living Laboratory.
There are currently two options:
a) The Community Room at the Liberty Prairie Farm Store can comfortably accommodate groups up to 20 and is across the street from the Prairie Crossing Station Square Metra Train stop with ample parking.
b) The entire first floor of the Yellow Farmhouse is available for larger groups and can accommodate groups up to 40 indoors. This space is ideal for planning meetings, retreats, and celebrations. Offering multiple breakout rooms, a kitchen for catering use, and beautiful outdoor facility.
