Throughout the years, professional golf events have, and continue to be drawn to our scenic and various golfing options. Lake County has been home to the 2016 LPGA UL Crown, 2012 US Mid-Amateur Championship, 2009 Western Amateur, 2008 US Open Sectional Qualifying and the 2007 Open Qualifier and the 2000 U.S. Women’s Open. Conway Farms Golf Club hosted the PGA’s 2013 BMW Championship, an event that featured golf’s biggest names, and was shown around the world. The BMW Championship was at the Lake Forest course in 2015 and returns in 2017. The KPMG Women's PGA Championship will also call Lake County home in 2018.

Tip from Alex: To hit keep the ball under the wind remember four easy steps: 1) take a slightly wider stance, 2) take one less club, 3) choke down two inches, 4) swing slower and maintain your balance.
