The City of Highland Park’s new alfresco entertainment space The Lot (523 Central; enter at St. Johns & Park) is hosting the perfect event for fans of cold-weather comfort foods and hot beverages to warm the soul. Wrapping up the 2023 season, the city invites the public to attend Stews & Brews at The Lot on October 13-14.
Stews & Brews is not your ordinary chili fest or craft beer fest. This free, all-ages event will offer attendees an array of cold weather comfort foods. Think chili, pozole, lamb stew, beef stroganoff, Hungarian goulash, potpies, soups and brews including creative coffees and cocoas, craft beers, spiced wine, hot toddies, mulled ciders and more! Attendees can enjoy their stews and brews while listening to live blues music and cozying up around warm fire pits and heaters.
All types of cuisine will be featured including chili, jambalaya, Hungarian goulash, chicken pot pie and more.
Brews will be available too, from craft beer, spiced ciders and wines, to hot toddies, hot chocolate and kombucha!
A stellar line-up of blues artists will grace the stage including: Barry and The Fountains, Win Noll & The Rockin’ Souls, Ivy Ford and Billy Branch and the Sons of Blues
The Lot is surrounded by ample parking, including nearby surface lots, a two-level parking deck south of Central on First St. and St. Johns, and the Port Clinton parking garage. The City encourages guests to use non-motorized transportation where available. Bike parking is available at The Lot and bike racks are located in the immediate vicinity.
