The Foss Park District will host the "We Are One" Music Festival on Saturday, September 12 from 1 to 7 p.m. at 35 Lakeview in North Chicago. The free, all-ages event celebrates cultural unity through music and community. The festival will be hosted by Mr. Lee, Tee Howard and Big Drew, with performances by Clarissa, Urban Soul, Shon Mo and Indika Band, along with headliner Sounds of Slave. The event is presented by Foss Park Commissioners Vance D. Wyatt, Dr. Donna E. King, Kingston Neal, Johnny Johnson, Carmecia Hawthorn and Kari Cowart.
Attendees are encouraged to wear all-white attire and bring lawn chairs, as seating is not provided for general admission. Food vendors will be on site throughout the event. VIP tickets are available for $35 per person or $60 for two, and include premier covered and reserved seating, a swag bag and a photo opportunity with performing artists. VIP tickets can be purchased through the Foss Park District.
