The Vernon Hills Days Committee is proud to announce a new charity event, held in partnership with the Vernon Hills Park District and the Vernon Hills Police Department. The Police Chase Twilight 5k run/walk is planned for Wednesday, July 15, starting promptly at 6:30 p.m. on the festival grounds. Proceeds from this charity event will support Veterans Path to Hope.

The inaugural event kicks off a fun-filled weekend at Vernon Hills Days, giving participants the chance to race against members of the Vernon Hills Police Department. Packet pickup begins at 5 p.m. prior to the start.

The flat, fast course is family-friendly and suited to runners, walkers and strollers of all ages. Every participant receives a finisher's medal. After crossing the finish line, participants can head into the beer tent for a post-race celebration featuring DJ music and refreshments.
