One of history’s most versatile musicians, Quincy Jones amassed 30 Grammy, Emmy, and Tony Awards as the composer/producer behind iconic music like “Soul Bossa Nova,” “P.Y.T.,” and “Stuff Like That”; scores for The Wiz, The Italian Job, and The Color Purple; and the Thriller, Bad, and The Dude albums. Decade-long Jones collaborator Jules Buckley leads the CSO in tribute to the groundbreaking catalogue of the Chicago-born artist.
The evening showcases two standout vocalists: artist and actress Sheléa and vocalist, songwriter, and producer Darrel Walls. A protege of Jones, Sheléa (pronounced shuh-lay-yuh) has received praise from from the likes of Stevie Wonder, Mary J.Blige, Missy Elliott, David Foster, Queen Latifah, Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Hudson, and more. Blending traditional pop, jazz, R&B and soul, Sheléa brings a contemporary edge to classics, and a classic touch to contemporary pop standards. The show-stopping vocalist has been at the forefront of the Quincy Jones Tribute concerts around the world, including performances at The O2 Arena in London; the AccorHotels Arena in Paris; and the legendary Stravinski Hall at Montreux Jazz Festival.
She is joined by 2026 Grammy Award-winner Darrel Walls, a renowned vocalist, songwriter, and recording artist best known as the lead voice of the internationally recognized gospel performers The Walls Group. Known for his distinctive tone, dynamic range, and deeply expressive delivery, Walls has collaborated with some of the most respected producers and artists in the industry, including Kirk Franklin and Warryn Campbell, and has garnered recognition from notable musicians such as Brandy, Frank Ocean, and PJ Morton.
Together with Buckley and the CSO, the two powerhouse vocalists bring Jones’ timeless music vibrantly to life in a celebration of artistry, innovation, and enduring influence.
