Risking It All: The Signers of the Declaration of Independence
Monday, June 29, 7:00–8:00 pm
Lake Forest Library
360 E Deerpath Rd,
Lake Forest, IL 60045
Register and join historian Joyce Haworth in person to explore the 56 men who risked it all to strike for independence. In 1776, signing the Declaration of Independence was not an act of patriotism, it was an act of treason against Great Britain. Some of their names are familiar, but others—like William Whipple or Button Gwinnett—are not. Learn the roles of well-known and lesser known Founders and the consequences they suffered after signing the Declaration.
