To celebrate America 250, check out the Patriotic Display and Exhibit at the Cook House in Wauconda.  House tours will take place on the hour from 1 to 4 p.m. unless otherwise specified. Check out the special “tennial” display featuring America250, the American Bicentennial, the Wauconda Centennial and 150 years of Wauconda Township history. Dates include May 3, May 17 (noon-3 p.m.), June 7, July 5, July 18 (2-5 p.m.), August 2 and September 6. Light refreshments will be served. Open houses are free but donations always appreciated.
