Casablanca at Gorton Center

Casablanca is a timeless story of love, sacrifice, and doing what’s right when it matters most.

We meet Rick Blaine, a guarded nightclub owner in the bustling city of Casablanca during World War II. He keeps to himself. He avoids politics. And he believes sticking his neck out for no one is the safest choice.

Then everything changes.

Ilsa Lund walks into his club. With her comes a past Rick thought he’d buried. Their connection is immediate. Complicated. And impossible to ignore.

At the same time, danger surrounds them. Refugees seek escape. Authorities close in. And choices carry real consequences.

As tensions rise, Rick is forced to confront who he is—and who he wants to be. He must choose between love and something greater.

Along the way, the film blends romance, suspense, and unforgettable dialogue. It captures the weight of sacrifice and the quiet courage of standing up for others.

Ultimately, Casablanca reminds us that even in uncertain times, our choices define us—and love, in all its forms, endures.
