The Zinnia and Monarch Festival and Bees Too! returns to Zion on Aug. 15-16, offering a free, family-friendly weekend of food, entertainment, arts and crafts, vendors, education and contests.
The weekend kicks off Saturday morning with a 5K run beginning at 8:45 a.m. and a Kids 100-meter dash at 8:30 a.m. The kids dash is free and requires no registration. Adult 5K registration is $40 per person, with an early bird rate of $35 per person available through July 17. Race day registration opens onsite at 7 a.m. A best costume contest and bubble bash celebration follow immediately after the run.
The festival portion runs 1-5 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday and is free to attend. A piñata event is scheduled for Saturday at 4 p.m., and a butterfly release will close out the weekend Sunday at 4:30 p.m.
