Young Nature Explorers at Edward L. Ryerson Welcome Center

Participants are invited to explore different types of wildlife movement alongside their child through hands-on activities that encourage unique interactions with nature. This two-day program takes place Tuesday and Thursday and allows children to discover flying wildlife in the sky and aquatic species at or below the surface, sparking a love for play and learning in nature.

Registration is required. Adults must register with their child, and adult registration is free. Admission is $43 for residents and $60 for nonresidents.

This program is for children ages 4 to 5 by the first day of the program. Programs repeat the same lessons each week and locations vary by day, weather permitting, to accommodate activities.

Tuesday sessions meet at Ryerson Welcome Center, and Thursday sessions meet at Wright Woods.

Lessons, activities and topics are designed for specific age groups to maximize the Summer Adventure experience. Due to this approach, age exceptions are not permitted.
