The annual Liberty Prairie and Grayslake High School District 127 Spring Plant Sale & Farm Festival will take place on Saturday, May 9, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Liberty Prairie Farm.

Highlights of the day include sheep shearing at 12:30 p.m., along with a full schedule of family-friendly activities and farm experiences. The event features student-grown annuals, vegetables, herbs and flowers, along with native perennials from Possibility Place, as well as organic compost, mulches and garden supplies. Proceeds support hands-on education at the farm.

Attendees can look forward to a variety of activities throughout the day, including:

• Shopping the Plant Sale featuring student-grown plants and garden supplies
• Feeding sheep and goats
• Listening to student music performances
• Visiting food trucks offering breakfast, snacks, and lunch, including Mama Mia’s Pizza and Cookies with Flavor
• Walking through the Community Gardens
• Participating in a potato sack race with Summer Farm Camp counselors
• Exploring the farm via wagon tours
