In 2001, Michael Cavanaugh was handpicked by Billy Joel to star in his hit Broadway musical Movin' Out. Cavanaugh performed in over 1,300 shows and received both a Grammy® and Tony® Award nomination.
After the final curtain call in 2005, Cavanaugh began touring in his own right, creating a show that reinterprets the modern rock/pop songbook. Cavanaugh soon became one of the hottest artists to perform at private events, playing at parties for the PGA Tour, Super Bowl and Indy 500.
Billboard called him "the new voice of the American Rock and Roll Songbook," while Reuters recognized him as "Entertainer of the Year" for the private events circuit. He was also among Pollstar's top 75 touring acts in the country.
Today, he continues to perform with renowned symphonies across the country, performing the music of Billy Joel and Elton John, as well as Paul Simon, Neil Diamond and James Taylor. This one-of-a-kind concert experience is a treasure trove of hits by two rock legends and a gem for fans who are still "Keeping the Faith."
