Each spring, typically from late March to mid-April, American White Pelicans migrate northward, passing through Fox Lake. The Village of Fox Lake celebrates this event with “Pelican Palooza,” a fun-filled two weeks highlighting the pelican migration and local businesses. This year, Pelican Palooza runs April 1-17, with fun activities and events like a photo contest, kids crafts at the Fox Lake Public Library, a photo exhibit of past pelican photo entries and a scavenger hunt with the opportunity to enter a raffle for a 36" gas griddle with cart, gift cards, and pelican cookies!
