The Waukegan Park District is hosting a free GO WAUKEGAN Wag 'N' Walk on Saturday, July 11, 2026 from 10am to 11am at Hinkston Park, located at 810 Baldwin Avenue. Bring your pups to enjoy the outdoors and walk togeter! All ages are welcome and there will be a drawing for a one-month Field House Sports, Fitness & Aquatics Center membership. 

Bring your pups to enjoy the walk outside on the Hinkston Park trail. Please adhere to the safety rules for you and your pup(s):

• Dogs must be leashed at all times.
• Picking up after your dog is required.
• Ask for permission before allowing your dog to greet other people or dogs.
• Prevent your dog from jumping on people or lunging at other dogs.

In partnership with the Lake County Health Department, the Waukegan Park District launched GO WAUKEGAN, an initiative to improve the health and wellness of residents through activities, education, and collaboration with an emphasis on outdoor enrichment. The free outdoor walks are designed to encourage individuals and families to walk a minimum of 30 minutes a day, helping create a healthy lifestyle. 

Preregistration is not required to attend this free community walk. Wach walk will have a unique theme to enjoy with free GO WAUKEGAN shirts handed while supplies last. For more information, visit waukeganparks.org/gowaukegan.
