The scent of garlic will draw crowds to Highwood’s Everts Park on Wednesday, Aug. 12, for the annual Garlic Fest. Running from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., this unique event celebrates the versatile herb with a wide-ranging menu of sweet and savory creations, supplemented by live music and family-friendly entertainment.

Culinary highlights include a variety of innovative dishes, ranging from classic garlic-infused pastas and spreads to unconventional treats like garlic chocolate, ice cream, and cocktails. The evening’s centerpiece is the "Taste of Garlic" competition, where local vendors vie for the titles of best savory and sweet creations, showcasing the most inventive uses of the signature ingredient.
