Highland Park Police Department and the Park District of Highland Park will team up to host Cops and Bobbers, a family fishing event, June 6 from 9 to 11 a.m. at The Preserve of Highland Park. Participants are invited to try their luck at catching the biggest fish. Prizes will be awarded to the largest catch in each age group: 5 and younger, 6–8, 9–12, and 13–15.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own fishing gear, though limited loaner equipment and bait will be available. The event is free, but registration is required. No fishing license is necessary.
