Mundelein Community Connection will present the 15th Mundelein Fine Arts Festival the weekend of Sept. 19-20, 2026. The juried art festival will showcase the work of 50 fine artists working in a variety of media. The two-day event will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily and will feature top artists, local musicians and food vendors. In addition to professional artists, the festival will highlight artwork by select students from Carmel Catholic and Mundelein high schools.
A committee of judges will award cash prizes for Best of Show and Best in Category in six categories. The Kirk Players will present a $500 Emerging Artist Award. Purchase awards will also be given, including the Village of Mundelein's Annual Purchase Award. Mundelein High School and Carmel Catholic High School will each receive scholarship money to award to students.
The festival will be held at Courtland Commons in downtown Mundelein, at the northeast corner of East Courtland Street and Seymour Avenue. Artists will be set up in the paved area for easy access by visitors, and musicians will perform throughout the weekend. The festival's mission is to support the arts, provide scholarship money to art students at Carmel Catholic and Mundelein High School, and bring attention to Mundelein as a place to live and visit.
