The University of Illinois Extension Master Gardeners will hold their annual plant sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 16, at the University of Illinois Extension grounds in Grayslake.
The sale will feature a selection of nursery-grown varieties not commonly found at traditional garden centers, including native plants, new perennial cultivars, grasses and pollinator-friendly plants. A variety of homegrown tomatoes, along with other vegetables and herbs, will also be available.
Shoppers can browse “Garden Treasures” for new and gently used items such as yard art, garden tools, decorative containers and gardening books. Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer questions, assist with plant selection and offer gardening advice.
Proceeds support projects and programming for volunteers, youth and adults in Lake County. For more information, call 847-223-8627 or visit the University of Illinois Extension website.
