Things To Do This Weekend November 6-8, 2026

By: Stephanie Wylie 11/04/2026

November in Lake County has a way of pulling people in two directions at once. On one side, there is the pull toward company: a flannel-clad bar crawl through downtown Fox Lake, a champagne stroll in Antioch with a mimosa bar you build yourself, and a shock-rock legend taking over the Genesee Theatre stage on Sunday night. On the other, there is the pull toward quiet: a full day of sound baths, yoga and silence among the horses in Lake Villa. And for anyone who has been waiting for the first real chill to justify a night at the theater, Arendelle has arrived in Lincolnshire, with a winter-long run of “Frozen” that is only getting started.

There is no wrong way to spend the weekend of Nov. 6-8. You can raise a glass, turn the volume up or turn it all the way down.

1. Second Annual Grand Avenue Fall Crawl in Fox Lake

Flannel is encouraged this Saturday in downtown Fox Lake. The second installment of the Grand Avenue Fall Crawl takes place Saturday, Nov. 7. This 21-and-older celebration sends guests through the village’s downtown, one stop at a time. From there, participants visit some of the community’s favorite local establishments, trying drinks and specials along the way. Each stop delivers its own take on the afternoon. The crawl offers a chance to discover a new favorite spot or revisit an old one. The eight participating businesses include J’s Clubhouse, Trio’s Sports Bar and Grill, Johnny’s Café, 50K, Lynn Catherine’s, ZJ’s Mine, Antioch Pizza and Mijo’s Authentic Mexican Restaurant. Check-in begins at the Fox Lake Community Center Tickets are available at foxlake.org.

Saturday, Nov. 7; noon to 4 p.m. Shuttle tickets are $35 and include event entry, event perks and shuttle service. Designated driver tickets are $10 and include event entry and shuttle service. Fox Lake Community Center, 23 S. Street, Fox Lake.

2. Champagne Stroll, Mimosa Bar and Brunch Bites in Antioch

Start with a mimosa you built yourself. Finish with a keepsake glass in hand and a downtown full of shops to wander. Antioch has found a way to make a Saturday in November feel like a celebration. The Champagne Stroll, Mimosa Bar and Brunch Bites returns Saturday, Nov. 7. The launch party at Rivalry Alehouse is officially sold out, but there’s still a way to join the fun. Start your Saturday at The Lodge of Antioch, where the brunch portion kicks off the day for the general public. Enjoy brunch bites, then wander downtown with a keepsake glass in hand. Champagne samples await at each stop. Tickets include the mimosa bar, brunch bites, champagne samples, a non-breakable champagne glass, a keepsake gift and a map of all participating locations. Registration is available at antiochchamber.org.

Saturday, Nov. 7; 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are $47 per person. The event is open to adults 21 and older. Rivalry Alehouse, 945 Main St., Antioch.

3. Alice Cooper at Genesee Theatre in Waukegan

The “Godfather of Shock Rock,” Alice Cooper, returns to the Genesee Theatre on Sunday, Nov. 8. The show delivers a theatrical night built on what made Cooper famous: razor-sharp guitar riffs, big melodies, clever lyrics and a flair for psychodrama. Like a good horror film, he knows how to keep audiences on the edge of their seats. In 2025, Cooper reunited with his original bandmates for “The Revenge of Alice Cooper,” the group’s first new studio album in more than 50 years. Also in 2025, he joined the Radio Hall of Fame in recognition of a radio show called “Alice’s Attic with Alice Cooper” that has run for more than 20 years. For an entertainer who has spent decades touring the world, the Genesee stop is further proof that the classic shock rocker still knows how to shake it up. Tickets are available at GeneseeTheatre.com.

Sunday, Nov. 8; 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $93. Genesee Theatre, 203 N. Genesee St., Waukegan.

4. The Sounds of Silence at Susanna Farms

In a season built around noise and crowds, Susanna Farms is offering something different: a day of quiet. The Sounds of Silence, a one-day guided silent retreat, takes place Saturday, Nov. 7. The Lake Villa family farm and equestrian wellness center hosts the day for anyone wishing to slow down, reset and spend a few hours with open land and gentle animals. The day opens outdoors with a grounding meditation among the horses, then moves into the barn for gentle yoga, immersive sound baths with guided meditation and extended time in silence. Participants can use the quiet hours to meditate, walk the property or groom the horses. The day closes with a fireside chat after dark. Breakfast, a light lunch and an early dinner are included. No experience with yoga, meditation or sound healing is required. Guests should dress for the weather, since part of the day is spent outdoors, and are encouraged to bring a yoga mat or blanket. Registration is at SusannaFarms.net.

Saturday, Nov. 7; 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $150. Susanna Farms, 24153 W. Town Line Road, Lake Villa.

5. ‘Frozen’ at Marriott Theatre in Lincolnshire

Arendelle is getting an early winter, arriving in Lincolnshire in November. Marriott Theatre presents Disney’s “Frozen: The Broadway Musical” just in time for the holiday season. The production brings the Academy Award-winning animated Disney film to the stage, featuring all the movie’s songs by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, plus new music written for the stage. The story follows Princesses Anna and Elsa, raised apart inside their castle in the mountain kingdom of Arendelle. When Elsa is crowned queen, the magical powers she has tried to hide from her sister take control, and she flees into the mountains as a fierce winter arrives. Anna sets off to bring her home, with help from the hardworking ice harvester Kristoff, his loyal reindeer Sven and a happy-go-lucky snowman named Olaf. At its heart, “Frozen” is a story of sisterhood, acceptance and the real meaning of true love, with plenty of magic and humor along the way. The production runs on select days through Jan. 3. Tickets and performance times are at marriotttheatre.com.

Friday-Sunday, Nov. 6-8; Fri.: 7:30 p.m., Sat.: 4 and 8 p.m. and Sun.: 1 and 5 p.m. Tickets start at $117. Marriott Theatre, 10 Marriott Drive, Lincolnshire.
