Go behind the fenceline and discover the historic district of Naval Station Great Lakes from a knowledgable museum guide!

Have you ever wanted to peek behind the fence at the historic Naval Station Great Lakes? Now’s your chance! This outdoor walking tour explores the historic district of the base and explains how Great Lakes has evolved over the last century. Each tour is approximately a 1.5 mile walk. 

Tour begins at the National Museum of the American Sailor, 2531 Sheridan Road, Great Lakes, IL 60088

Tours take place behind the secure fenceline, so pre-registration is required. Naval Station Great Lakes reserves the right to deny entry to any participants.
