Leprechaun Plunge

Saturday March 16, 2019

Times: 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Leprechaun Plunge

Join us for the 9th Annual Leprechaun Plunge: Plunging for Phil’s Beach! The plunge will be at a new location, but we'll have the same old fun!

The freezing festivities begin at Middleton's on Main for a "Pre-Plunge Party” at 8am with a breakfast buffet and libations. Then join in on the Northern Illinois Pipes & Drums led parade of costumed participants and spectators kicking off at 10:30am, proceeding north on Main Street and east on Park St. down to Lindy’s Landing for the Leprechaun Plunge festivities! Prizes will be awarded for Best Costume, Best Irish Toast, Best Limerick, Best Irish Jig, and Best Water Entry. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

LIVE MUSIC from Jeff Trudell inside Lindy’s!

A completed registration & waiver form and $25 is all you need to participate in taking the plunge, and the first 100 registrants will receive the cool logo’d long sleeve tee shirt. Registration forms will be available at Lindy’s Landing, Wauconda Park District, or online at http://bit.ly/PlungingForPhilsBeach .

In the spirit of raising money for Phil’s Beach redevelopment, the party will go on whether or not the ice allows us to create an opening in the lake. We have a plan B!
