Let’s enjoy the ride with these top things to do this week June 26-28 in Lake County.
1.) Strawberries are America’s favorite fruit. Enjoy the delectable, mouthwatering treat all weekend at Long Grove’s Annual Strawberry Festival. This three-day event is a ‘berry-wonderful’ celebration that offers everything from chocolate covered strawberries, strawberry martinis and desserts. The festival features live music all day, great food, unique shopping and kid-tivities all weekend long.

2.) There’s no such thing as early fireworks for people of Lake County. It’s fun and entertainment as the whole family gears up for the Taste of Grayslake. The festivities include live entertainment, a moonwalk, carnival rides, face painting, obstacle course, wall climbing and so much more. Don’t forget fireworks shoot off at dusk.

3.) Are you ready to rock? Throttle Fest will rock your socks off! Austin’s Fuel Arena and Lake County Fairgrounds partnered to provide your ears heavy guitar solos for three days. Camp out all weekend and watch your favorite acts like the, Kashmir, Night Train, Jackyl and so much more. The event will include burnout pits, Wall of Death for you motorcyclists, a tattoo tent, motorcycle accessories and vendors of all kind. Be there early because camping is limited!

4.) Witness history on Saturday evening as the Stallions ballet is put on display at Tempel Farms. The Tempel Lipizzans performance is set to classical music. Arrive at the farm early to grab a bite to eat before you see the horses syncopate in unison through their battle formations and exhibit their majestic technique.

5.) There are events and activities for all ages at Beach Fest 2015- Annual Village Festival in Round Lake Beach! Enjoy main stage live music, cultural and children’s stage for awesome entertainment! Brass Buckle Band performs on the main stage Friday night and the Modern Day Romeos play Saturday night. The weekend long event offers delicious eats and drinks!
