The Wauconda Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the IPRA Championship Rodeo for the 56th consecutive year. This year’s Rodeo bursts out of the gate on Saturday, July 15th at 5:00 p.m. with pre-rodeo fun including a mechanical bull, food booths, Beer Garden and merchandise vendors. The Rodeo performances begin at 7:00 p.m. and include dazzling routines by the Midwest Renegade Equestrian Drill Team, flashy trick riders, and fun antics from the rodeo clowns mixed in with the six exciting rodeo events: Saddle Bronc Riding, Bareback Bronc Riding, Bull Riding, Cowgirl Barrel Racing, Steer Roping and Tie-Down Roping. Live band before and after the Rodeo.
The fun returns on Sunday, July 16th when gates open at 1:00 p.m. for “Family Day”. The pre-rodeo festivities feature a free petting zoo, $3 pony rides and a kids moonwalk. The delicious food booths will be open as well as the Beer Garden, mechanical bull and vendors. Then, at 3:00 p.m. the IPRA Championship Rodeo begins with the return of the Midwest Renegade Equestrian Drill Team, specialty acts, and professional cowboys and cowgirls from across the country that will round up competitive rodeo excitement for fans of all ages.
