By: Jonathan Jones 05/06/2014

Did you know that merely being outside in nature can lower your blood pressure, decrease stress, and positively benefit your health?  You’ve been stuck inside during the worst winter ever, and it’s time to get outside and enjoy some fresh air.  Whether you’ve never done a 5k or any sort of group sporting event, or if you’ve been training all winter… either way… hibernation is over!

Put a little spring in your step and sign up for one of Visit Lake County’s spring and summer 5k’s, or make a lady’s day of it, and sign up for the Dirty Girl Mud Run in Grayslake!  (June 28) Remember, most races require early registration and runners/walkers usually have to be there a few hours before the race to register!  Make sure to read the event details when registering!
