Get Moving This Summer!

By: Jonathan Jones 07/11/2013

Summer makes fitness fun.  You can go on a bike ride, a canoe trip or spend a day swimming in Lake Michigan and not even realize that you’re actually working out.  These are the few months of the year when we can get outside and just… go and do.  So we better get moving!  There are plenty of ways to keep active in Lake County this summer for people of any fitness level, so don’t get scared away just yet. Or, set a goal and aim for a challenging (but super fun) mud run!

Run/Walks Give it all you got on these run/walks.  Don’t feel pressured that you need to sprint the whole time or need to be training for Iron Man to be able to have fun with these outdoor activities.  There are people of all fitness levels participating in 5k’s these days.  It’s all about having fun and being healthy and happy. (Be sure to check with your local park districts because there are a lot of smaller local runs and walks going on.)
