The LCCCA was established in 1952 and is part of a much larger family, Community Concerts, which began in 1927.

Lake County Community Concert Association, or LCCCA, is a non-profit organization operated by a local board of volunteer directors for the purpose of presenting the best in live performance to the community at a reasonable cost. LCCCA has served the community for 68 years.

The mission of LCCCA is the enhancement of music education and the enrichment of culture in Lake County by bringing premiere live entertainment from around the world to the Lake County community at a reasonable cost. The concerts are performed at Orlin Trapp Auditorium, located at Waukegan High School.
