Winthrop Harbor Memorial Day Parade & Service

The Village of Winthrop Harbor will host its annual Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 28, 2018 in honor of the fallen men and women of our United States military. This annual event is organized together with the Winthrop Harbor Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) post.

We invite you to participate in this year's parade with your float, band, marching group or other entry. The general theme of all parade entries should be to honor those who have paid the ultimate price to ensure our freedom. There is no-charge to participate in the parade.

The parade line-up will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the Pfeiffer Transmission parking lot on the corner of Sheridan Road and State Line Road in Winthrop Harbor. The parade will begin at 11:00 a.m., proceeding south on Sheridan Road to 9th Street, then west on 9th Street to Village Park. At the park there will be a Memorial service presented by the Winthrop Harbor VFW at 12:00 Noon.
