Let the ride take you...

A three-day tour to amazing hidden gems just north of Chicago!

Day One:

Travel day, check into hotel and dinner TBD depending on hotel location:

The Shanty (Featured on "Diners, Drive-ins & Dives")

Day Two:

• Wandering Tree Estate - Home of the Train Lady (June-September + Holiday Tea)
• Lunch at Chessie's Restaurant in the train car
• Historic Downtown Long Grove - home of the famous covered bridge
• Include a Broken Earth Winery and/or Buffalo Creek Brewery Stop
• Tour the Sock Monkey Museum, soon to be documented as the home of the world’s largest private collection of these unique toys. Your group may also make their own to take home. Then shop the quaint stores and have dinner at The Village Tavern, Illinois’ oldest operating establishment.

Day Three:

• Sanfilippo Estate tour - Place de la Musique
• Wild Onion Pub and Brewery - owners won the lottery
• Volo Museum tour - one of the nation's largest auto museums
• Dinner and musical at Lincolnshire Marriott Resort - the nation's most subscribed theatre
• OR - Ravinia Festival (seasonal) - North America's oldest outdoor music festival

Day Four:

Before you head home...

• Chicago Botanic Garden - visit over 30 gardens
• Lambs Farm - home to over 250 developmentally disabled adults who work at the bakery (famous butter cookies), restaurant and stores
• National Museum of the American Sailor at Naval Station Great Lakes - the only U.S. recruit training station for the navy

On their way home, your group will be amazed while reflecting on all of the amazing sites tucked away in Lake County, and be glad they didn't have to visit a big city to be impressed!
