Mundelein Guide: Festivals & Other Events

This portion of the Mundelein Guide is a treasure map to the must-go festivals in the area. It doesn't matter the weather, Mundelein knows how to throw a good box social.

One World Fest Mid-Late September

Celebrate the diversity of culture in Lake County at the Fourth Annual One World Festival in Mundelein. The family-friendly event will include eats and activities from many cultures including, but not limited to, Irish, Indian, Japanese, Russian, Mexican and more. Learn some of the traditional dances performed by Siempre Flamenco, Royal Scottish Country Dance Society of Chicago and Chicago Korean Dance Company. The Mundelein event will also feature arts and crafts, as well as wine and spirits.

Annual Craft Beer Fest Early June

Mundelein Community Connections and Tighthead Brewing Company will join forces for the Fourth Annual Mundelein Craft Beer Festival. With admission, the festival provides, a souvenir tasting glass, samples from local breweries and live music. Lake County restaurant vendors will be on hand to fill your appetite. Tickets for designated drivers are available. Live music will fill the airwaves from bands that include Bell Weather Blues Band and Samadhi Vibe.

Mundelein Arts Festival Early September

The weekend long juried event will showcase the talents of exceptional artists and craftspeople in a variety of media. Student artwork from Mundelein and Carmel Catholic High Schools will also be highlighted. Bring the family! Come share a magical day in the park enjoying original artwork, live music, and a tasty assortment of food from local eateries.

Mundelein Community Days Early July 

Event includes musical performances, food, drinks, arts and crafts, car show, carnival, activities for kids and adults, and much more. Live music each day. There will also be a parade and much more fun. Please visit the website for a complete schedule of activities.

Mundelein Boo Bash October 29; 4-7 p.m.

Enjoy this Halloween-themed event with the entire family. Candy and treats are provided by local businesses. Other activities include: games & prizes, story-telling and visits by familiar costumed characters. Tractor-pulled wagon rides are provided by the Lake County Farm Heritage Group. This event is held rain or shine. No registration is required and costumes are encouraged. Parental supervision is required of all children. Food is available for purchase.

DiCarlo's Fall Wine Fest Early April and November 5

Come out and enjoy a great time at the DiCarlo's Fall Wine, Food & Craft Beer Festival. This festival will showcase hundreds upon hundreds of fine wines, dozens upon dozens of Craft Beers and local restaurants will once again feature their tasty fare. The cost is $30/person for DiCarlo Members in advance or $35/person for Non-Dicarlo Members and at the Door.

Mundelein Farmer's Market June-October

Come out to the newest Lake County Farmer's Market in Downtown Mundelein. Local vendors (within 200 miles of Mundelein) offering a variety of fresh produce, meats, flowers, cheese and artisanal foods. Fun for the whole family and good food too. A new addition to the market is a tented seating area where market goers can relax, have a snack, and enjoy live music.
