Hey folks! Rock the vote by continuing here for there I Love Lake County Fan Vote. We are down to the final week of the Fan Vote – which the winner will receive $500 and a performance at Mickey Finn’s in Libertyville where Visit Lake County will announce the Ultimate Grand Prize winner on May 14.
Our Ultimate Grand Prize winner will win $1000, a professional recording of their winning song, a music video and various summer festival performances around Lake County.
We have done our I Love Lake County Song Search Spotlights on musicians Diamond Z, Kyle Schardt and Matt Sams.
We will continue to start the week with our I Love Lake County Song Search Spotlight: Christy Shanks.
Shanks is a singer songwriter from
Lindenhurst. Shanks describes her genre of music as a combination of pop, folk and acoustic. The talented musician plays various instruments. Her repertoire in musical instruments include piano (grand and keyboard), saxophones and the acoustic guitar.
Over the years, Shanks has created a unique sound and voice as she has perfected her sound through thorough practice of instrumental and vocal technique.
Currently she is an artist in development with record label McLaughlin Music Group International that specializes in independent Christian music.
The Lindenhurst singer is currently working on her album that no specific release date has been noted.
