The Great Lakes Marina, located on beautiful Lake Michigan at the Naval Station Great Lakes, is OPEN to the general public, offering the best in services and amenities, all at a “great” value.
The 96-acre, full-service marina has 30-foot piers with utilities, linier wall spaces, moorings, as well as dry storage space. Additionally, the marina has a boat yard for winter storage, as well as winterizing services including shrink wrapping.
A background check is required by boat owners and their immediate adult family members to gain access to the marina. Guests are allowed, but they must also go through the vetting process. The Great Lakes Marina offers a multitude of amenities including plenty of parking, a launch ramp, a family beach area, a beach house with restrooms and showers and a fuel dock and pump out station. Plus, there are boat rentals (both sail and power), and courses including US Sailing (basic and intermediate) and US Safe Powerboating instruction.
The large harbor areas are excellent for those paddling activities, such as kayaking, canoeing and stand up paddle boards.
