The Lake County Libation Trail partner promises a weekend-long celebration filled with Irish beer, food specials, live entertainment and traditional festivities The “Erin go Bragh” celebrations are highlighted by the release of Mickey Finn’s Brewery Shannon’s Irish Ale with a portion of the ale funds going to St. Baldrick’s. While experiencing the St. Paddy’s Day festivities and viewing March Madness, the sounds of Irish rock and folk will reverberate through Mickey Finn's Brewery as the acclaimed Chicago-based band Whiskey Mick takes to the stage. Other live performances over the weekend include Moon Money, Fitz and the Celets, Hearthfire and the Tim Gleason Band. Deer Park Town Center is gearing up for an exhilarating event, with runners of all levels invited to lace up their sneakers and hit the pavement for the St. Paddy's 5K and 10K. Participants can choose between the 5K or 10K distance, each offering its own unique challenges and rewards. Competitors will receive a commemorative pint glass to toast their achievement and renowned finish line shamrock cookies to refuel and replenish. Participants are encouraged to don their greenest attire and embrace the spirit of St. Patrick's Day as they tackle the course and celebrate their accomplishments.
