Edgy, provocative and hilarious, Penn & Teller have defied labels - and sometimes good taste - with their brand of impossible illusions and oddball humor. On stage, they look the most unlikely pairing - Penn is large and boisterous while Teller is diminutive and silent. But that's part of their charm. Their inventive, seemingly dangerous illusions, brilliant slight-of-hand and amusing shtick have made Penn & Teller a household name for nearly 40 years. This is a rare opportunity to see two legends of magic perform before your very eyes.

Patton Oswalt at the Genesee Theatre
Genesee Theatre
203 N. Genesee Street
Waukegan, IL 60085
Voice: 800.982.2787
Award-winning comedian and actor Patton Oswalt is best known for his lovable, nerdy roles on TV and the big screen – from sitcoms to comedy-dramas to animated movies. In 2013, he earned a TV Critics Choice Award for his performance on Parks and Recreation.

But the hilarious funnyman really shines when he's on stage doing stand-up. He's produced five critically-acclaimed comedy albums and shot seven TV specials, winning an Emmy and a Grammy® Award for Patton Oswalt: Talking for Clapping.

The multi-talented performer has lent his voice to video games, appeared in music videos and even authored two New York Times best sellers. Is there anything this man can't do? One website says he's allergic to gluten. So, apparently, he can't do bread.

Burton Cummings
Genesee Theatre
203 N. Genesee Street
Waukegan, IL 60085
Voice: 800.982.2787
As frontman for the legendary rock band The Guess Who, singer-songwriter Burton Cummings helped deliver some of the greatest music in rock 'n' roll. Part of the credit goes to his distinctive voice, considered by many – including rocker Robert Plant – to be among the best in rock music.

In addition to a wall full of gold and platinum records, the '70s hit-maker is a six-time Juno Award-winner and member of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. He has not one but TWO stars on Canada's Walk of Fame.

As a performer, Cummings possesses an extraordinary gift for entertaining. When you hear those songs sung by that voice – still gloriously intact – he'll send you back in time, if only for an evening.

The Piano Guys
Genesee Theatre
203 N. Genesee Street
Waukegan, IL 60085
Voice: 800.982.2787
The Piano Guys have amassed over 1.5 billion YouTube views and over 2 billion audio streams since forming eight years ago. Their cinematic videos set in exotic locations are simply breathtaking. And while their name may be confusing – two gifted musicians are the primary performers, one on piano, one on cello – their music is not.

They've become well-known for their classical/pop mashpups, like pairing Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake with Shawn Mendes' In My Blood; Vivaldi's Winter with Disney's Let It Go; and Beethoven's 5th Symphony with OneRepublic's Secrets.

Their first six studio albums reached #1 on the Billboard Classical Album and New Age Album charts. Their latest release, Limitless, features a creative interpretation of Epiphany by K-pop boy band BTS and is currently trending on YouTube.

The Piano Guys have sold out concerts in England, Germany, Hungary and Japan. They've played Carnegie Hall. Now, they'd like to play for you at The Genesee. It's an exhilarating performance you won't want to miss.

The Buddy Holly Story
Genesee Theatre
203 N. Genesee Street
Waukegan, IL 60085
Voice: 800.982.2787
Gavan Rousseau knows a thing or two about impersonating Buddy Holly; he's been doing it since he was four! A gifted prodigy, he taught himself to play guitar and piano by age 8. At the ripe-old age of 12, he could sound, play and command the stage the way his rock idol did. In 2005, he debuted his tribute show, The Buddy Holly Story, and hasn't looked back.

When he steps into character and takes the stage, the resemblance is uncanny. It's not just his short, curly hair and horn-rimmed glasses but his voice and spirit that is as close to the rock legend as humanly be possible.

Rousseau will take you back to 1956 when Holly first hit the scene and the following three short years that helped cement his legacy in rock music. You'll hear all the classics and the stories behind them.

Buddy Holly's raw rock 'n' roll style inspired many, including the Beatles and The Rolling Stones. He was among the first artists inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Rolling Stone magazine ranked him #13 in its list of "100 Greatest Artists".

This year marks the 60th anniversary of "the day the music died," when Holly, Richie Valens and "The Big Bopper" boarded that fateful plane in Mason City, Iowa. Come out and celebrate the life and music of this American original!

Freedom: A Tribute to George Michael and Wham!
Genesee Theatre
203 N. Genesee Street
Waukegan, IL 60085
Voice: 800.982.2787
Very few musicians have written and performed more "mega-hits" than George Michael. So when the superstar passed away suddenly in 2016, singer/songwriter Jayden Frost made it his mission to share the artist's iconic songs with the world.

To create the ultimate concert experience, he teamed up with two industry heavyweights: George Michael's former bass player Deon Estus, who was also a member of Wham!; and Dave Schultz, who played keyboards in Berlin and the Goo Goo Dolls. With their help, Frost has created Freedom – A Tribute to George Michael and Wham!

Each song is recreated to perfection – from fan favorites on Wham!'s debut album Make It Big to George Michael's solo albums Faith and Listen without Prejudice. Every production detail is considered, including costume changes and visual presentations that highlight the different eras of the singer's career.

If you're a George Michael fan or simply want to experience some great '80s music, this concert should be on your bucket list.

Creedence Revived: A Tribute to CCR
Genesee Theatre
203 N. Genesee Street
Waukegan, IL 60085
Voice: 800.982.2787
Creedence Clearwater Revival, led by singer/songwriter John Fogerty, skillfully fused roots rock, rockabilly and blues into some of the best classic rock music ever recorded. Between 1968 and 1972, CCR released seven albums – a staggering three alone in 1969 – which led to enormous success and their eventual induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Creedence Revived capably pays homage to this legendary group and has rapidly become one of the most sought-after CCR tribute bands in the world. They've performed in Europe, Malaysia and all over the globe for crowds of upwards of 30,000. Comprised of professional musicians from Chicago and L.A., they're known for their spot-on vocals, tight harmonies and high-energy shows.

Celebrate the 50th anniversary of Woodstock by rocking out to the music of one of the festival's best bands!

08/17/19 - 08/17/19
Dan Petty & The Heartshakers
Genesee Theatre
203 N. Genesee Street
Waukegan, IL 60085
Voice: 800.982.2787
When he was in high school, Dan Grennes was told he bore a striking resemblance to Tom Petty. When he attended Boston's Berkley School of Music he was told the same thing and again when he performed in the rock musical Rock of Ages in Las Vegas. His next career move was an easy choice: he formed Petty and the Heartshakers, celebrating the music and legacy of the rock 'n' roll legend.

On stage, Grennes surrounds himself with top-notch musicians, including the former drummer for The Cult and the former bassist with Marilyn Manson. Every song is performed to perfection. "You can’t tell the difference. These guys are crazy great," said a California festival president.

Enjoy an incredibly organic, yet accurate tribute to Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, as Dan Grennes channels the late rock legend in a very personal way. Come out and hear it for yourself. The show is filled with all your favorites – and there are a lot of them!

The Columbus Free Press says, "She's pure Patsy." The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel states, "Deal shines when she sings." And the Winchester Star says, "...her vocals are positively captivating."

Her exquisite tribute features a live band, tight harmonies and exceptional vocals. As a professional actress, she adds that extra emotional depth that few can match. After hearing her sing, you'll understand why she's an honored member of the Atlanta Country Music Hall of Fame.

Three Dog Night with Special Guest Voyage
Genesee Theatre
203 N. Genesee Street
Waukegan, IL 60085
Voice: 800.982.2787
From 1969-1975, nobody produced more Top 10 hits, moved more records or sold more concert tickets than Three Dog Night. They churned out an astonishing 21 consecutive Top 40 songs, resulting in 11 Top 10 hits, three #1 singles and 12 straight gold albums. And with three distinct vocalists, their music was incredibly diverse, landing songs on the pop, rock, country and R&B charts. As singer Danny Hutton told The Fayetteville Observer, "If you don’t like a song, just wait. You'll probably like the next one."

Their concerts are all about having a good time. "We're not political," Hutton went on to say, "We just like to get people…to forget about everything and leave with a big smile on their face."

Come out and "Celebrate" the music of Three Dog Night and bring a little joy to your world.

Kicking off the evening is Chicago's very own Voyage, a classic arena-rock band that has opened for Night Ranger, Blue Öyster Cult and Foghat.

She handles her cherry red, Epiphone-339 with as much confidence as any of the bluesmen today and can belt out notes to fill a room and serenade a phrase sweeter than sugar in ways that make anyone and everyone tune in to what she has to say. She might have moved up north, but she'll always be Waukegan's own Ivy Ford!
