Below is the latest edition of our Group Tour newsletter. Enjoy!
Your morning activity is a glass-making demo at Peter Patterson Glassworks. Peter and staff talk about his amazing artwork & studio plus a demonstration of at least two pieces. Depending on the size and budget of the group, you may offer to have them make a piece (to be shipped or picked up later) or purchase a gift for each in advance. The gallery is also available for on-own purchases. The amount of time varies depending on the size and activity of the group. Because the temperatures in the studio are quite warm during the summer months, we suggest this be a cooler weather activity. Some popular demos and pieces include glass pumpkins, ornaments, hearts, shamrocks, Easter eggs and flowers.
Lunch is at Dover Straits, a Lake County group favorite and 4.5 rating on TripAdvisor. The Metropulos brothers always create a memorable experience, and many of our tours come back often. Choose from a full menu – seafood, ribs, steak, chicken, salads, sandwiches, pasta and more.
Your afternoon activity is at Dress Up N Dance, a hidden gem with a private event created just for you. Angela and Richard make each tour feel so comfortable about any level of mobility and skill. They will provide a demo and lessons on dance steps from Swing, Waltz, Foxtrot, Latin, Tango, Country, Hustle, Line, Free Style and Slow dancing. Non-alcoholic sparkling beverages and make this the perfect place to socialize and have fun!
Should you wish for a sweet stop on the way home after all of that calorie-burning activity, we have several suggestions – Uniquely Sweet, Lambs Farm, Long Grove Confectionery Store, Jelly Belly and more!
Your evening activity can include more dancing (on the stage) at the Marriott Theatre and dinner at Three Embers Restaurant. Followed by a tour of the beautiful 1920’s movie palace, Genesee Theatre in the morning. Should you need more on this tour, pricing and reservations, contact Jayne.
