SeptOberFest at the Beer Garden at Independence Grove is an opportunity to bring family and friends together. The Beer Garden features delicious beverages from partners of the Lake County Libation Trail including Black Lung Brewing Co. of Round Lake Beach, Tighthead Brewing Co. of Mundelein, Mickey Finn's Brewery of Libertyville, 9th Hour Brewing Co. of Lake Villa, Roaring Table Brewing Co. and Phase Three Brewing Co. of Lake Zurich, ZumBier of Waukegan, Ravinia Brewing Co. of Highland Park, Buffalo Creek Brewing of Long Grove and Liquid Love Brewing Co. of Buffalo Grove. The Libertyville space hosts live performances on Thursdays and three of the shows are presented by Visit Lake County in partnership with 102.3 WXLC, 95 WIIL Rock and 1220 TUDN. This free festival is highlighted by lakeside fire pits, free firewood, s'mores kits and more. Check out the schedule below and grab a beer while watching live music.
Visit the Patty Turner Center in Deerfield to get your fill of mums and pumpkins. The outdoor festival is free to attend and has a wide array of decorative florals on sale. Break in the fall season with an outdoor home decoration adventure. On sale at the fest is cider and cinnamon donuts to seal the sweet deal. The festival starts in the morning and is an easy transition into the autumn season.
Lake Zurich hosts its annual Main Street block party. This all-ages festival is free for all to attend and features tons of food, beer, live music and family-friendly activities. Rock the Block is held in downtown Lake Zurich and streets will sectioned off pedestrian safety. Local businesses will be open during the day for everyone to re-discover Main Street Lake Zurich.
Visit Kracklauer Park in Mundelein to see a unique blend of music, art, food and fun. The festival features 40 different artists, each with their own personal style.
