Working and supporting our communities and partners remotely, Visit Lake County continues to monitor the crisis, following guidelines and advisories from local, state and federal agencies. These include the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Illinois Department of Public Health, the Lake County Health Department & Community Health Center and the recent phased plan, Restore Illinois. Supporting communities and neighbors, the Lake County COVID-19 Community Response Fund is a valuable and comprehensive resource. There are also grant opportunities, including the second round of funding for the Business Interruption Grants Program, known as BIG, offered by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Development. We encourage visitors to reach out directly to destination providers prior to traveling, to review policies and get updates. Visit our new dedicated "go-to" area for information, LAKE COUNTY @HOME, for restaurants, breweries and distilleries offering take-out/curbside and delivery, OPEN HOTELS, outdoor and virtual events, and more.
