With his beautiful melodies and thoughtful lyrics, legendary singer-songwriter Gordon Lightfoot has enchanted fans for over 50 years. His tender ballads and timeless hits helped define the folk-pop sound of the '60s and '70s. Artists from Elvis to Jane's Addiction to Toby Keith have all covered his songs.
The four-time Grammy® nominee has recorded 20 albums, charted numerous songs and won 13 Juno Awards in his native Canada. He's received the highest honors a Canadian civilian can receive. In 2012, the folk-rock icon was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
Lightfoot is a member of Canada's Walk of Fame, the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame. He is arguably the country's greatest singer-songwriter.
The music legend returns to The Genesee to perform his memorable hits from his illustrious career, as well as some cherished album tracks for his devoted fans.
