We are hosting a patriotic celebration for the whole family, American Salute, on July 3rd. It's a free, open air concert featuring the renowned 45-piece Lake County Symphony Orchestra. Sponsored in part by the City of Long Grove, Buffalo Creek Brewing, Fred Astaire Dance Studio, and Chatterbox Café, this special Independence Day Weekend tribute to Americana will take place at noon in Buffalo Creek Brewing’s expansive biergarten boasting nearly two acres of picturesque grounds for self-seating. Attendees are invited to come dressed in USA colors, roll out their picnic blankets and chairs, and enjoy a cold beer or two along with a bite from an on-site food truck while they take in LCSO performing their American Salute for the holiday. The orchestra will play traditional American favorites such as the Armed Forces Medley, Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, Sousa’s Stars and Stripes, Bugler’s Holiday, John Williams’ Hymn to the Fallen, and much more. To cap off the day, guests are encouraged to stick around and wind down to the sultry Aimee Gwen jazz quartet from 3 pm to 6 pm
