If you have prior experience in photography, join us to learn more about advanced techniques.
April 3 at 11am Bird Identification: Common Midwest Birds
Learn about the appearance, behavior and habitats of the most common Midwest birds.
April 17 at 11am Bird Identification (Visual and Audio) and Smartphone Applications
Learn how to identify birds through Merlin and Audubon Society applications.
April 24 at 11am Bird Monitoring (Visual and Audio) and Smartphone Applications
Learn about helpful birding applications like eBird and iNaturalist and how you can contribute to the birding and science monitoring communities.
Visit partner nature sites across Chicagoland! Enjoy self-guided walks and/or small group tours to capture birds and nature through your lens. May into September. After you register, they will provide you with self-guided tour information and let you know when group tours are scheduled. Group tours are dependent upon partner COVID policy.
Submit your photos for inclusion in the Veteran’s Day Nature Platoon Photography Exhibition. Photos must be submitted by September 20.
