Welcome to Perfect Brewing Supply's The format for this competition is new, exciting and will allow homebrewers to be creative and explorative with the beer they make. Fermentis have provided us with 11 different strains of yeast; 3 lager yeasts and 8 ale yeasts...and that's where you come in! When you sign-up for the competition, you will be randomly allocated one of the strains of yeast (a virtual pick-out-of-the-hat). It's then your job to create the best beer you possibly can. The only stipulation is you must use the yeast strain allocated to you.. Perfect Brewing supply hopes that this gives everyone some real creative license to brew any variety/style of beer you like. We encourage inventiveness, innovativeness and interpretation in your recipe formulation. Each participant will be able to collect their yeast packet from the store any time after the drawing has taken place, but be sure to give yourself enough time before brew day. The purpose for this competition is to encourage all home brewers to expand their brewing repertoire and come up with new and exciting recipes that have previously not been attempted. It is also to add a slice of competitiveness to the hobby and allow home brewers to get some critical feedback on their creations. Registration & Payment Deadline: Drop Off Deadline: February 13th 2021 Competition Date: February 27th 2021 Drop Off Location: Perfect Brewing Supply, 619 E Park Ave, Libertyville, IL This competition is open to all Home Brewers; aged 21 or over. Entry Fee: $10.00 per entry There is a maximum cap of 100 entries. Each participant may only enter one beer with their yeast. Each entrant must provide two bottles of their beer. Preferably an unmarked, brown 10/12oz bottle that is capped. Please use unmarked bottle caps (or black out any markings that are present). We will also have some prizes available for the highest scoring entries, including some bulk grain, hops and merchandise.
