Please note, all efforts have been made to verify information prior to publishing, however, changes do occur. Please contact event producers directly to verify such things as times, location, admission price and cancellations.
This year's theme is "Isolation," a topic many have become familiar with during these strange times. The deadline for stories is October 16, 2020. Prizes of $50, $30, and $20 are awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners, respectively.
Winning stories and honorable mentions are published in the anthology, "Mundelein Writes: Isolation", which is available for free to all visitors at the Village Hall. Participation instructions and the entry form are available at www.mundelein.org/MAC. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
The contest is open to adults age 18+, and anyone who lives or works in Lake County. Short stories may be inspired by and involve the events of the COVID-19 pandemic, but please note that stories must be works of fiction, and should not be nonfiction pieces such as essays, memoirs, opinions, etc.
And to fuel your creativity, why not pick up a pizza from Bill's Pub?
