With prairie restorations, pine woods, marshes, and a stretch of the Fox River, Chain-o-Lakes State Park affords birders the opportunity to see a variety of species - 237 species have been documented on site! Often several species are seen and heard even before leaving the parking lot. Visit https://ebird.org/hotspot/L152616 to explore most recent sightings. Bring binoculars and field guides, (During the COVID-19 outbreak, we will not be loaning our binoculars). Walk is approximately 2 miles and takes 2+ hours with weather and luck in birding. Adults and attentive kids ages 6 and older are welcome.
