Our "Timeless Classics" program promises to be a fantastic evening of music for you and your loved ones! We continue our yearly Beethoven tradition with the exciting "Leonore Overture No. 3."
Next, we head to the Romantic era for a piece worthy of the moniker as our principal tubist Joshua Sevigny performs the Vaughan William's "Concerto for Bass Tuba." Written for the London Symphony, this famous concerto marked the tuba's first major opportunity to sit in front of the orchestra. We're excited to bring Josh out of the back row for a change!
Finally, we end with a World Premiere tone poem by composer in residence Charles Brown entitled "Poem for American Acrimony." The LCSO is always excited to bring a new piece into the repertoire, especially by a composer of Brown's caliber.
We hope to see you and your loved ones there!
