Ginevra King and the Big Four at the History Center of Lake Forest/Lake Bluff

Four women, four stories. While Ginevra King achieved fame for inspiring F. Scott Fitzgerald’s Daisy Buchanan, she was only a quarter of the socialite group known as “The Big Four.” Join Lake Forest native Sue Hoover Epstein as she sheds light on the life and times of four young women coming of age in the 1920s: Ginevra King, Edith Cummings, Courtney Letts, and Peg Carry.

Ms. Epstein is a writer and author who recently spoke at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Conference in Toulouse, France, on the topic of  “Lake Forest: The Most Glamorous Place in the World.”  Her book on the Big Four is in the works.
