Adapt Nation and Why Conservation Matters

What happens when a couple young entrepreneurial, environmental college students put their heads together around the idea of sustainability? “Adapt Nation” is a movement spearheaded by Max Wiecek and Logan Sharp, students from Northern Michigan University. They will share what their movement is all about, talk about their backgrounds and why they are committed to a sustainable future. Max will share stories from his experiences as an Intern at Volo Bog and elsewhere in the field. Then the two young men will lead us on a hike along the Tamarack View Trail to marvel at the wonders of nature and discuss why conserving these natural spaces is so important to the up & coming generation. Kids these days! You should meet them. Open to adults and children ages 11 & up. Registration requested by emailing dnr.volobog@illinois.gov or by phone at 815-344-1294. Tell us your name, email, and phone number. Group size is limited; program may be cancelled if minimum registration is not met 48 hours prior.
