Curator's Corner: WWII Aviation and the Enlisted Sailor

Wednesday July 18, 2018

Times: 1 - 2 p.m.

During World War II, aviation posed a new threat and the aircraft carrier ascended to be the capital ship of the Navy. Yet how did aviation change the life of a sailor during World War II? Using artifacts from the collection of the National Museum of the American Sailor, curator Justin Hall will discuss naval aviation's impact on the Navy's enlisted service members.
