Round Lake Area Memorial Day Parade

Round Lake Area Memorial Day Parade

The Round Lake Area Chamber of Commerce and surrounding Villages will host the 2018 Memorial Day Parade. The Parade will start in front of the American Legion (111 W. Main; Round Lake Park) continue West on 134, stop at corner of 134 and Cedar Lake in Round Lake then continue North on Cedar Lake Road to end at the Round Lake Beach Memorial site.

The Parade is held to honor those Hero's lost through service and is silent for the first part of the Parade. The opening ceremony will start at 9:30 AM at the American Legion with the National Anthem played by our local Round Lake High School Band and led by the American Legion and Village of Round Lake Park & Hainesville Mayors. Once the Parade starts (approx. 10:00 AM) , it will stop briefly at the corner of 134 & Cedar Lake at the Round Lake Memorial site for a brief ceremony and gun salute led by the American Legion and Round Lake Mayor MacGillis. The Parade will continue down Cedar Lake Road and end at the Round Lake Beach memorial site with the closing ceremony led by the American Legion and Round Lake Beach Mayor Hill. Reverend Kauffman will preside over all ceremonies.

The Parade is free to all that attend. We ask that you line the sides of the streets and make room for all floats and Parade participants. Please stand to show your respect as our Veterans walk past in honor of the fallen. If you would like to enter a float in the Parade, please download the application at: www.rlchamber.org.
